The Deck O Seal installation process consists of a few things. One is to thoroughly remove all of the old material from the deck and pool coping. The next step is to pack the opened area with either sand or foam. That allows the material to not sink in when installing. Once that is done, we start to mix the two part product. This needs to be done correctly to ensure that the material will actualy set up and cure. We then take that from the gallon can to a pour container and start installing the product. This is a self leving pool material that can be very difficult to clean if spilled. The final step is to lightly sand the surface of the Deck O Seal. This is what gives it a natural appearance. If you did not add the sand, it would look like a big rubber band around your swimming pool. The Deck O Seal needs to set up overnight or longer depending on the temperature. You can not use the pool or touch the material. If you did, the material would stick to anything it comes into contact with. You will never get it off. That is the same for your pool deck. If it gets on your pool deck, it will be a nightmare to remove often causing some short term dis-coloration.
